The 5-and-a-half-hour flight went smoothly, with only some turbulence that made my palms sweat.
This was followed by relatively quick passport control under the watchful eyes of mustached and serious police officers. Our bus was waiting for us right outside the airport, along with our friendly agent, Sumit, who was helpful throughout our stay.
In just over half an hour, we were already at the TIME Asma Hotel.
We quickly checked in and got our room keys, then left our luggage and headed to a nearby restaurant that stays open until 2 AM for a late-night meal.
I finally went to bed around 3 AM! I definitely should have gone earlier, but we got caught up chatting over food, and time just flew by…
The next morning, we could sleep in since our departure was scheduled for 10:30 AM local time, which is 3 hours ahead of Croatia during winter.
