Exploring Universal Studios: A Movie Paradise in Los Angeles

During my three-day visit to Los Angeles, I wanted to see a few places:

1. Hollywood and Hollywood Boulevard
2. Griffith Observatory
3. Beverly Hills
4. Venice Beach
5. Universal Studios

During those three days, I spent as much as I would in three weeks in Costa Rica. I definitely wasn’t holding back, but I also wasn’t dining in Michelin-starred restaurants.
Just the stay at a basic motel in Burbank cost $150 per night.
The ticket for Universal Studios theme park was $239 (plus $30 for parking + $30 for souvenirs). Granted, this was the express pass that lets you skip all the lines. Since I’m not sure if I’ll ever return to this city, I thought: YOLO!

I don’t regret spending that money, but I think I could have seen everything with a regular ticket, which costs around $100.
Either way, this was a special and memorable final day in L.A. Perhaps the most impressive part of the whole experience was the “broomstick ride” inside “Hogwarts” and visiting the movie sets where they filmed Jaws, Back to the Future, and many other films.

Along the way, we also saw a collection of cars from the most successful franchise ever, Fast & Furious, as well as Jurassic Park. To top it all off, there was an action-packed stunt show in the Waterworld replica set.

Final verdict… totally worth it!
Thank you, Hollywood! Thank you, L.A.!
